Zakira Zahiry
Zakira Zahiry was born and raised in Afghanistan, where she obtained her Bachelor's degree in Physics from Kabul University in 2017. She joined the Master’s Degree program in Laser and Optics Physics in the fall of 2020, supported by the PWF-ICTP-IASBS scholarship, at the Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences (IASBS) in Zanjan province, Iran. Her master's thesis revolves around simulating the Localized Surface Plasmon Resonance of structured silver nanoparticles in various configurations, under the supervision of Prof. Mostafavi Amjad. Zakira's research interests encompass Surface Plasmonics and its various applications, including biosensors, nanoparticles, nanomedicine, and more. Additionally, she is interested in delivering lectures and sharing her skills and knowledge with others. Besides her academic pursuits, Zakira has a diverse array of hobbies such as cooking, self-learning, child care, and jogging.
