In this projects the launching of jets and outflows from magnetically diffusive accretion disks is considered. The main question we address is which kind of disks launch jets and which kind of disks do not?

Binary system/
protoplanetary disk
In this project, a detailed physical analysis of the jet-launching mechanism of a circumstellar disk that is located in a binary system is presented. Applying 3D resistive magnetohydrodynamics simulations, we investigate the local and global properties of the system, such as angular momentum transport and accretion and ejection mass fluxes
