About

I have expertise in structural geology and tectonics. I am interested in the active deformation and geodynamic evolution of the Iranian plateau. Most of my recent studies are focused on obtaining the Neogene state of stress through the inversion of fault-slip data (using the focal mechanism of earthquakes or geometry and kinematics of faults measured during field investigations). I also use detail mapping and morphotectonic features to study the active fault zones.

To understand the evolution of an area, part of my research is focused on the deformation of mylonitic shear zones (based on field measurements, sampling of mylonitic rocks, and study of oriented thin sections).
