(Advisors: Prof. M. Rahidi, Prof. S. M. Nabavizadeh). Reza has joined the Dr. Najafpour’s research group in June 2016 as a post-doc researcher from IRAN Science Elites Federation. His project has been focused on synthesis and characterization of some efficient catalysts for water oxidation purposes using the thermal degradation of organometallic complexes as precursors. During his PhD, Reza has spent 9 months sabbatical in University of California, Davis, United States, under supervision of Prof. Alan L. Balch, working on “Synthesis, Characterization and photophysical properties of coinage metal complexes (Au, Ag, Cu) complexes with polyphoshine ligands”. Mail : R.babadi.a@gmail.com

Ph.D. Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences (IASBS), Zanjan , Iran 2014 (Inorganic Chemistry) Thesis: Investigation of true catalyst in water oxidation reactions: from nano-metal oxides to modified complexes I joined to Prof. Dr. Mohammad Mahdi Najafpour’s group in September 2014 as a PhD student. Basic scientific area that we interested in Prof. Najafpour’s group is artificial photosynthesis and we are trying to design catalytic systems for generating renewable Hydrogen energy from water oxidation. Recently, we have focused on a new view of catalytic water oxidation means “True catalysis”. So, my PhD thesis is determined in this new area as topic: Investigation of true catalyst in water oxidation reactions: from nano-metal oxides to modified complexes. Personally, I’m very interested to reading (scientific subjects specially), sport, nature, traveling and I like to learn physical and chemical aspects in advance, so that learning takes most of my time.
