Dr. Somayeh Sheikhnezami

I am an Assistant Professor at the physics department of the institute of the Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences (IASBS) in Iran (Zanjan)

My primary research interest lies in studying astrophysical objects across various scales, with the goal of deepening our understanding of their structure, dynamics, and evolution, as well as their interactions with surrounding environments. In recent years, my focus has been on the dynamical evolution of astrophysical jets and their associated accretion disks. Additionally, I investigate circumstellar disks in various systems using numerical simulations in hydrodynamics (HD) and magnetohydrodynamics (MHD). My research also extends to planet-disk interactions within protoplanetary disks. Across these systems, I examine key physical processes, such as radiation, non-ideal MHD effects, gas structure, planet-disk interactions, and planetary migration. Furthermore, I study the radiation properties of these systems through radiative transfer techniques.
