Nationals of all nationalities (except those listed below) holding a valid ordinary
passport and wishing to visit Iran, can obtain a 30-day Tourist Visa upon arrival at the Tehran Imam Khomeini Airport.
1. The applicants should have a confirmed return ticket and a valid passport with at least 6 months validity
and a photo (3×4 cm) to be attached to the application form.
2. Visa stamp fee (depending on the applicant's nationality) is payable to the visa & passport office at
the airport.
How to reach Zanjan
Zanjan is the capital of Zanjan Province in northwestern Iran. It lies 300 km northwest of Tehran on the main highway
to Tabriz and approximately 125 km from the Caspian Sea. The nearest international airport to reach Zanjan is IMAM
KHOMEINI International Airport (IKA) in Tehran.
Taxi services at IKA
There are three running taxi services available in the IKA. The average prices from the
airport to the Tehran city ranges from 90,000 Tomans (around 7.7 USD) for private sedans to 95,000 Tomans (around 8.1 USD) for
vans. You can go to their booth at the airport and ask for a ride.
You can also share a taxi to get directly to Zanjan, for 450,000 Toman (around 38.8 USD).
How to get Zanjan from Tehran
There are comfortable bus services from Azadi bus terminal (also known as west terminal) frequently each 20 minutes from 5:15 AM until 22 PM,
that arrive to Zanjan in 4 hours. The price of tickets varies from 24,650 Toman (around 2.2 USD) to 29,000 Toman (around 2.5 USD). Please go to
Cooperative Number 8, Lavan Noor and ask for a ticket bus to Zanjan. We recommend the VIP buses with 25 seats to have more comfortable travel.
How to Reach IASBS
No matter how you reached Zanjan, by plane/train/bus, the easiest way to reach IASBS is to take a taxi. Taxi services are available all the time.

Zanjan has a cold semi-arid climate with hot, dry summers and cool, moist winters. Precipitation is very low, and mostly falls between October and May.
The time zone in Iran is +3:30 GMT. In spring and summer, Iran is on daylight saving time, which makes it +4:30 GMT.
