The international research and educational collaborations of the IASBS with universities abroad has been one of the main goals of this university since its establishment. Here we will have a brief look at the statistics for scientific and research collaborations of this university in the form of indicators for research trips, active agreements, affiliated university lecturers, awards, and scholarships received by IASBS researchers.

  Since the establishment of the Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences (IASBS), Zanjan, in 1992 its faculty members have made great efforts to expand and develop scientific collaboration with universities outside Iran. The figure below shows the scientific and research trips made by the IASBS faculty through scientific collaboration. Since 1992, most scientific-research collaboration has been with the universities in Germany, Italy and France.

  Since the establishment of the IASBS in 1992, researchers from many universities outside Iran have visited this Institute. The figure below shows the scientific and research trips made by foreign researchers within the framework of scientific collaboration. • Active agreements with foreign universities
  
  

  Since its establishment, the Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences (IASBS), Zanjan, has signed collaboration agreements with different universities throughout the world. There are currently 10 agreements with France, The Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Pakistan, Iraq and Canada. Scientific collaboration and exchange of faculty and students have taken place in recent years in line with these agreements. Three memoranda of understanding have been signed with universities in Iraq for the exchange of faculty and students. The other memoranda of understanding for scientific collaboration and exchange of faculty and students concluded with foreign universities include the earth sciences (3), chemistry (2), physics (1) and mathematics (1).

    The University continues to attract international scientific collaboration through its Affiliate Lectureship Programme, so that colleagues from outside Iran can exchange ideas with the IASBS faculty and students.
