Research
Fundamental and applied research are carried out at the Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences at the highest level in physics, chemistry, mathematics, earth sciences, biological sciences, and computer sciences. The IASBS faculty help to improve and enhance the level of scientific knowledge in the country and in the region through collaborations with domestic and foreign research and technology institutions.

One of the most important missions of the University has always been the creation of an environment conducive to the improvement of the quality and continuity of research among faculty, students and postdoctoral fellows. Planning and procuring facilities to carry out research are among the most important responsibilities of the Research Office.
As part of efforts to strengthen the relationship between the Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences (IASBS) and industry, areas for joint co-operation between the university and Rasha Caspian Iranian Company have been examined at a meeting attended by university officials and faculty members, and the company’s managers.
