The Computer Center is on the second floor of the Physics Department (next to the Physics computer site). This Center provides the following services to the members of the university.
Torkaman Library was established in 1993. It contains a useful combination of specialized and general books, bilingual dictionaries, and specialized and general encyclopedias.
The Education Office comes under the Education and Research Department. Its main job is to manage the educational affairs of the students from registration to graduation.

Dr Ali Asadian has been appointed Director of Research at the Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences (IASBS) in Zanjan, by the decree of the IASBS President, Prof Sadollah Nasiri Gheydari. Prof Nasiri Gheydari has wished him success in carrying out the responsibilities entrusted to him. In a separate letter, the IASBS President also expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the former Director of Research, Dr Jahanfar Aboee, for his dedicated service.
The official appointment letter addressed to Dr Ali Asadian reads:
“In view of your commitment, expertise, and experience, you are hereby appointed Director of Research at the IASBS for a period of two years, effective from 1 Khordad 1404 (22 May 2025), while retaining your academic and research duties. It is hoped that, with trust in God and in consultation with your esteemed colleagues, you will develop and implement appropriate plans to enhance the university’s research activities, contribute to the Strategic Plan, and help realise the goals set out in national policy documents, particularly the Comprehensive Scientific Roadmap of the Country and the Document on the Islamic University.”
The letter further outlines expectations for improvements in the University’s research performance, enhanced processes for the aggregation, analysis, and updating of data related to faculty members’ publications, books, patents, and research awards, effective organisation of Research Week and related exhibitions, ongoing collaboration with the university’s Science and Technology Park, engagement with industry and society, and the fulfilment of other assigned responsibilities in line with the university’s institutional mission.
“I pray to Almighty God for your continued success,” the letter concluded.
