50% reduction in energy consumption in “CS & IT Building” using a taylor-made smart air-conditioning system

Lack of feedback control in the air conditioning system can lead to energy loss in winters and summers. Dr Pahlevani and colleagues at the Computer Science and Information Technology Department have designed a control system in the “CS & IT” building that uses feedback on heat and moisture from users in 10 rooms to make their working environment more comfortable.
