The Optics and Photonics Society of Iran (OPSI) with support from the Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences (IASBS) is organising monthly colloquia on optics, on the first or second Thursday of each month.
In these colloquiums, distinguished lecturers in the field will present exciting topics and will provide educational outreach to students. The activity is open to all and is free, but pre-registration is required.
On 3 December 2020, Dr. Benedetta Marmiroli from the Graz University of Technology, Austria will present a lecture on “Deep X-ray Lithography and Small Angle X-ray Scattering for Interdisciplinary Research”.
Please find a short biography of the speaker below and further information at https://iasbs.ac.ir/~moradika/events-news.html.
Dr Benedetta Marmiroli
Dr Benedetta Marmiroli works at the Austrian Small Angle X-ray Scattering (SAXS) Beam-line outstation at Elettra Synchrotron in Italy and is with the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry, Graz University of Technology in Austria. She also collaborates with Elettra in the management of the Deep X-ray lithography beamline.
Dr Marmiroli received her Master’s degree in Materials Engineering at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia and her PhD in Industrial Engineering at the University of Ferrara; both in Italy.
Her scientific interests include an interdisciplinary combination of micro-fabrication and characterisation techniques, both for the construction of micro-fluidic devices as a new sample environment and for the development of novel materials for applications in chemistry and biology.
