The Computer Center is on the second floor of the Physics Department (next to the Physics computer site). This Center provides the following services to the members of the university.
Torkaman Library was established in 1993. It contains a useful combination of specialized and general books, bilingual dictionaries, and specialized and general encyclopedias.
The Education Office comes under the Education and Research Department. Its main job is to manage the educational affairs of the students from registration to graduation.

Department of Earth Sciences of Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences (IASBS) is planning a workshop for the students of geophysics on earthquake source analysis combining InSAR and GNSS measurements with seismic recordings by using the open-source modules of the Pyrocko project in collaboration with Dr Henriette Sudhaus from the University of Kiel.
Those interested in participating in this workshop should be familiar with seismology, earthquake source modeling (e.g., MT inversion with seismic data), and InSAR/GNSS earthquake displacement measurements. The participants are encouraged to gain a working knowledge of the Linux OS and Linux command line staements. This workshop is intended for PhD students and will be held free of charge and online on 13 and 14 September with a maximum capacity of 20 participants.
