The Computer Center is on the second floor of the Physics Department (next to the Physics computer site). This Center provides the following services to the members of the university.
Torkaman Library was established in 1993. It contains a useful combination of specialized and general books, bilingual dictionaries, and specialized and general encyclopedias.
The Education Office comes under the Education and Research Department. Its main job is to manage the educational affairs of the students from registration to graduation.

The Deputy Minister for Education of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, Dr Ghasem Amouabedini, and the accompanying delegation have visited the Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences (IASBS). The one-day trip took place on Monday, 29 April 2024.
At the start of the visit, the Deputy Minister took part in a meeting held by the IASBS Council to discuss educational issues. In this meeting the IASBS President, Prof Babak Karimi, welcomed the guests and talked about the educational features and achievements of the University in recent years. He described the University’s mission in basic sciences and elaborated on the importance of the basic sciences among other sciences, pointing out the background, factors and improvement mechanisms employed at the university.
Then, the Deputy Minister, Dr Amouabedini talked about the educational capabilities of Zanjan’s universities, naming the IASBS as the leading educational university in the province and in the region. The Deputy Minister stated his agreement to the establishment of the Department of Strategic Sciences at the IASBS for interdisciplinary courses in basic sciences. He suggested that complementary plans for interdisciplinary courses needed to be submitted by the IASBS to the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology for final approval that would lead to the establishment of the department.
At the end of the meeting, to celebrate Teacher's Week and Educational Excellence, 7 selected university lecturers from different IASBS departments were praised and honoured.
At the conclusion of Dr Amouabedini’s trip, the Deputy Science Minister visited the IASBS Science House, where he praised the unique innovation in public education in basic sciences there and called the Science House complex and the Science Ambassadors project unique models for other universities to follow in order to spread science.
