Dr Hamid Reza Shahsavari, a faculty member of the IASBS’s Department of Chemistry, has won the George Forster Scholarship granted by the Humboldt Science Foundation.
The Alexander von Humboldt Foundation is a non-profit German organisation, established in 1953, to create scientific and cultural connection between researchers around the world and to promote scientific cooperation between Germany and other countries, providing numerous research programmes for international scientists and researchers, such as various student and research scholarships, short-term research stays, and other scientific support for top researchers. The George Forster Scholarship has been especially designed to empower researchers from the developing countries and to enhance their capabilities to further development of their respective countries.
The management and the other members of the Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences congratulate the scientific community of the country, especially Dr Hamid Reza Shahsavari, for this achievement.
