In this competition, which took place on Friday, 23 November 2024, 29 teams from Zanjan Province participated concurrent with other regions across the country.

This year’s competition was warmly received in various cities across Zanjan Province, with 82 students participating in 29 teams from Abhar, Khorramdarreh, and Zanjan.

During the competition, students had to act collaboratively to interpret the details of a significant real-world problem, develop suitable strategies for solving it, analyse the results obtained, and present the final outcomes through an appropriate model. The competition fosters skills such as effective reading, dynamic and creative thinking, mathematical modelling, teamwork, and structured, effective writing among the participating students.

The A-lympiad is an international mathematics competition, conducted in two stages, involving more than 90 schools in the Netherlands and schools from over 15 countries worldwide, coordinated by the Freudenthal Institute in the Netherlands. Following a memorandum of cooperation between this institute and the Mathematics House of Isfahan in the past 18 rounds, the first round of this competition has been held simultaneously in Isfahan and other Iranian cities in collaboration with various Mathematics and Science Houses across the country.
