The Computer Center is on the second floor of the Physics Department (next to the Physics computer site). This Center provides the following services to the members of the university.
Torkaman Library was established in 1993. It contains a useful combination of specialized and general books, bilingual dictionaries, and specialized and general encyclopedias.
The Education Office comes under the Education and Research Department. Its main job is to manage the educational affairs of the students from registration to graduation.

A ceremony has been held to mark Educational Excellence Week at the Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences (IASBS) in Zanjan. Held on Wednesday, 24 Ordibehesht 1404 (14 May 2025), the event featured a lecture by Dr Maqsoud Farasatkhah, a professor at the Institute for Research and Planning in Higher Education affiliated with the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology.
The IASBS President, Prof Sadollah Nasiri Gheydari, welcomed the guests and outlined key indicators of educational excellence among the university’s faculty members. The ceremony was attended by the founding President of the IASBS, Prof Yousef Sobouti, along with faculty from various departments. Dr Farasatkhah delivered a lecture on institutional autonomy in universities, academic freedom, quality assurance, and the issue of evaluation.
He emphasised the importance of internal and qualitative assessments and identified the qualifications and capabilities of faculty members as central to university evaluation. In addition to teaching quality and effectiveness, Dr Farasatkhah pointed to the appeal and reputation of faculty members’ teaching, their educational impact, and the added value of their academic contributions as other key pillars in assessing higher education.
At the close of the ceremony, seven members of the academic staff were recognised for their educational excellence:
Dr Leila Hassani, Dr Sadegh Sadeghi, Dr Hossein Fazli, Dr Habibollah Kazemi Ghahfarrokhi, Dr Zahra Mousavi, Dr Mohammad Hassan Vahidinia, and Dr Mohsen Hooshmand.
In addition, three administrative staff from the Academic Affairs Office were also honoured:
Ms Neda Adrang, Ms Fatemeh Arzan Zarrin, and Ms Maryam Ghofrani.
