The Computer Center is on the second floor of the Physics Department (next to the Physics computer site). This Center provides the following services to the members of the university.
Torkaman Library was established in 1993. It contains a useful combination of specialized and general books, bilingual dictionaries, and specialized and general encyclopedias.
The Education Office comes under the Education and Research Department. Its main job is to manage the educational affairs of the students from registration to graduation.

The respected Minister of Science, Research and Technology, Dr Hossein Simaii, has appointed the IASBS President, Prof Sadollah Nasiri Gheydari, as the secretary of the National Policy Committee for the International Decade of Basic Sciences. In 2021, Prof Nasiri Gheydari had been appointed as the secretary of the Policy Committee for the International Year of Basic Sciences, which had been designated by UNESCO.
The chairperson of the National Policy Committee for the International Decade of Basic Sciences is the Minister of Science, Research and Technology, while its vice chairperson is the Deputy Minister for Research.
The appointment letter for Prof Sadollah Nasiri Gheydari reads:
“In view of your knowledge and valuable experience, you are hereby appointed as ‘Secretary of the National Policy Committee for the International Decade of Basic Sciences’. It is expected that you will establish the committee and work in collaboration with its real and legal members, in order to advance the goals set out in the upstream documents, especially the Seventh National Development Plan and other assigned tasks, with consistent dedication. I pray to God the Sublime for your continued success”
