115-kW solar power plant at IASBS connected to national electricity grid

The Deputy for Operations and Dispatching at Zanjan Province’s Electricity Distribution Company has visited the 115-kW solar power plant at the Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences (IASBS). He made the visit on 18 July 2025 and announced that the plant had been commissioned and connected to the national electricity grid.

During the visit, the Deputy for Operations and Dispatching at the Zanjan Province Electricity Distribution Company, Mr Davood Dowlatyari, referred to the commissioning and connection of the 115-kW IASBS solar power plant to the national grid, emphasised the continuous efforts to realise this initiative across the province, and expressed his appreciation for the cooperation of the organisations that have contributed along the way. He further stated that by launching this solar power plant, the IASBS serves as a successful model in this field. He expressed hope that this trend would continue, leading to further development of clean energy and the realisation of national goals in energy consumption management and optimisation.

The 115-kW solar power plant at the IASBS consists of 208 monocrystalline solar panels and 100-kW three-phase inverters in an on-grid system. To bring the plant into operation and connect it to the national electricity grid, all necessary stages, including foundation laying, pole installation, panel mounting, and cabling to the power substation, have been completed. These steps were carried out during the first four months of 2025.
