According to the University Public Relations Office, a ceremony marking Accountants’ Day has taken place at the Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences (IASBS) with the participation of the IASBS President, Prof Sadollah Nasiri Gheydari, the IASBS Vice President, Prof Rashid Zaare-Nahandi, the Director of Finance, Dr Alireza Heydari, and a group of colleagues from the finance office. The ceremony was held with the aim of acknowledging the pivotal role of the university’s finance staff and highlighting the importance of accuracy, trustworthiness, and discipline in financial operations.
In his address, The IASBS President, Prof Sadollah Nasiri Gheydari, congratulated the staff on Accountants’ Day and described the finance unit as one of the essential pillars of the university. Emphasising the significance of precision, integrity and discipline in this field of work, he stated, “The stability and sound functioning of the university’s administrative system owe much to the accuracy, trustworthiness, and discipline of the finance office. The correct and responsible performance of this unit has brought notable calm and stability to the university and has facilitated the implementation of educational, research and administrative programmes.” He also regarded the professional ethics, respectfulness and courteous conduct of finance colleagues as an important organisational asset and stressed the need for the continuation of this professional behaviour.
Then, the IASBS Vice President, Prof Rashid Zaare-Nahandi, referred to the high level of sensitivity involved in the responsibilities of the finance office, describing it as one of the busiest and most demanding units of the university. He added, “Virtually all units are involved directly in financial affairs, and the university’s finance office, through exemplary effort, accuracy, and cooperation, has succeeded in gaining the satisfaction of various departments.”
In another part of the ceremony, the Director of Finance, Dr Alireza Heydari, presented a report outlining the activities, plans, and achievements of the finance office.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, The IASBS President, Prof Sadollah Nasiri Gheydari, expressed his appreciation for the dedicated work and sincere service of the colleagues in the finance unit by presenting certificates of commendation.
