The Tenth Regional Conference on Climate Change and Global Warming has been scheduled to be held on 10 and 11 February 2026, hosted by the Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences (IASBS) in Zanjan. The scientific event has been organised with the aim of knowledge exchange, examination of the complex challenges arising from climate change, analysis of climate mechanisms in the past and the future, and the presentation of practical solutions for adaptation to the twenty-first-century climate and mitigation of global warming impacts.

The main themes of the conference cover a wide range of current topics, including advanced issues in climate science, palaeoclimates, climate modelling and prediction, the relationship between climate change and water resources, renewable energy technologies and clean development, adaptation and risk-reduction strategies, applications of remote sensing and satellite sciences in climate studies, approaches to mitigating global warming impacts, and the role of human activities in climate change.

The Scientific Secretary of this year's conference is Professor Yousef Sobouti, and the Executive Secretary is Dr Massoud Saatsaz. Executive support is provided by Ms Bazargan, Dr Meysam Amiri, and Mr Shahab Ebrahimi. The Scientific Committee comprises leading experts, including Prof Hossein Asakereh and Dr Abbasali Zamani of the University of Zanjan, Prof Hassan Lashgari of Shahid Beheshti University, Prof Hadi Ramezani Etedali of Imam Khomeini International University of Qazvin, and Dr Mohammad-Hossein Kowsari of the host university.

The conference is organised by the Climate Change and Global Warming Research Centre of the Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences (IASBS), which, since its establishment in 2012, has consistently pursued the organisation of this scientific event as part of its core mission and successfully held its first round in November of the same year.

To encourage broad participation by the young scientific community, a 50 per cent discount on registration, catering, and accommodation fees has been granted to all students. University students and academic staff of the host institutions, namely the Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences (IASBS) and the University of Zanjan, will be fully exempt from registration and catering fees. In addition, with the support of the Dastaan Foundation, selected student papers will be formally recognised. The conference provides a valuable opportunity for researchers to convene, exchange the latest scientific achievements, and present practical solutions to one of the most significant global challenges of the modern era.
