IASBS research team wins Golden Trophy at Ninth Young Scholars and Scientists Festival

The Ninth Young Scholars and Scientists Festival has been held with the participation of the Minister of Science, Research and Technology, the IASBS President, Prof Sadollah Nasiri Gheydari, and a group of distinguished academics, researchers, and national scientific elites.

At this scientific event, a research project presented by the IASBS Faculty Member, Dr Faeqeh Hajizadeh, and her accompanying research team was selected as the final winning project in the Ideators section in the field of physics and received the festival’s Golden Trophy in this category.

Other members of the research team included Dr Ehsan Ahadi Akhlaghi, Mr Mehdi Rameh, Mr Mahyar Lotfi, a PhD student of physics in IASBS’s Integrated BSc-PhD programme, and Mr Ali Rafiei, an MSc student of photonics. In addition, another research project by the same research team was recognised by the festival’s panel of judges as a project worthy of commendation.

The Ninth Young Scholars and Scientists Festival was organised with the aim of supporting innovative ideas, strengthening the national elite ecosystem, and promoting scientific activities. The closing ceremony of the festival was held on Wednesday, 17 December 2025, at the Allameh Amini Hall of the University of Tehran.

The university management congratulates the IASBS Faculty Member, Dr Faeqeh Hajizadeh, and the members of her research team on this valuable achievement, regards this scientific success as a clear indication of academic capability, research creativity, and the effective national role of the university’s faculty members, and wishes them continued success.
