In-person meeting of international university students with Director of Consular Affairs of Zanjan universities

An in-person meeting has been held between international students and the Director of Consular Affairs of Zanjan universities, together with an expert from the Office of Scientific and International Cooperation of the Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences (IASBS), to review key obligations and regulations.

The meeting was held on 29 December 2025 and focused on major issues including academic supervision and attendance monitoring, compliance with the laws of the Islamic Republic of Iran, including hijab, obtaining and maintaining a valid study residence permit for the full duration of study without repeated exits, timely passport renewal, the prohibition on employment for international students and residence outside university dormitories, and the requirement for prompt action following the issuance of a final exit permit.

The cultural role of international students as scientific ambassadors was also emphasised during the session.
