The IASBS President has marked the 13th day of the lunar moth of Rajab and the auspicious birth anniversary of the first imam of the Shiites, Imam Ali, by congratulating faculty members, staff, and university students on this blessed occasion, also celebrated as Father’s Day and Men’s Day, and by emphasising the importance of drawing inspiration from Ali’s teachings in the pursuit of knowledge, justice, and responsibility.
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Imam Ali, the loyal companion of the Prophet of Islam and an inexhaustible source of pure knowledge and justice, is a figure who has remained an enduring model for humanity in every sphere of life. Whether in the field of courage or in the sanctuary of worship, his life stands as a timeless example, rich with lessons in freedom, fairness, faith, and service to humankind. Every page of his life illuminates the path for those who seek truth.
The 13th day of Rajab, the auspicious birth anniversary of this noble Imam, provides an opportunity to reflect anew on the values he imparted to humanity, values such as seeking justice, faith, self sacrifice, and responsibility. This day, honoured as Father’s Day and Men’s Day, also serves as a reminder of the elevated status of fathers and men who, through love and perseverance, form the steadfast pillars of family and society.
I extend my sincere congratulations on this blessed occasion to the distinguished faculty members, dedicated staff, and valued university students of the Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences. I hope that, guided by Imam Ali’s teachings, you will continue along the path of knowledge and wisdom with firm resolve and help shape a brighter future for this land.
On this blessed day, I wish you lives filled with peace, dignity, and success, and I am confident that the esteemed family of the Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences will remain steadfast, as always, in upholding and advancing the scientific and cultural heritage of Iran.
