In the name of God, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
The blessed Ten-Day Dawn recalls the days when the great Iranian nation, through faith, awareness, and unparalleled solidarity, opened a new path of independence, dignity, and self-belief in the history of this land. The 22nd of Bahman is not merely an historic date; it is a symbol of the will of a nation that stood against oppression and dependency and, relying on the leadership of Imam Khomeini, shaped a new future for Iran.
Today, as we stand on the threshold of the forty-seventh anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, reflection on this proud journey shows that the Islamic Revolution was not solely a political transformation. It marked the starting point of a profound movement in scientific, cultural, social, and civilisational domains. The country’s extensive achievements in knowledge-based fields, emerging technologies, health, energy, defence, and higher education are the result of the efforts of generations who, with a spirit of dedication and hope for the future, paved the way for growth and excellence.
Universities have played an irreplaceable role in this process. Relying on the scientific capacities of its distinguished faculty members, the research efforts of its diligent students, and the dedication of its committed staff, the Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences (IASBS), has, today, made an effective contribution to the country’s scientific development. The expansion of research activities, the strengthening of educational infrastructure, movement towards third- and fourth-generation universities, and the training of specialised human resources are among the achievements made possible in the wake of the Islamic Revolution and the support of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
I hereby commemorate the memory of Imam Khomeini and the esteemed martyrs of the Islamic Revolution, the Sacred Defence, and the defenders of security, and extend my congratulations on the occasion of the Ten-Day Dawn and 22 Bahman 1404 to the Supreme Leader, the noble Iranian nation, and the entire university community.
The 22nd of Bahman serves as a reminder that the Islamic Revolution was made by the people and has endured through the presence of the people. Today, in the face of pressures, sanctions, and narrative warfare, what has kept the country steadfast is that same spirit of solidarity, resilience, and hope. Preserving this valuable legacy is a shared responsibility that can be fulfilled through scientific endeavour, the strengthening of social ethics, the enhancement of self-belief, and continued progress.
We pray to Almighty God for the ever-increasing dignity and pride of Islamic Iran and ask Him to grant all of us the success to serve this great nation with sincerity.
