A journey into magic and hope at “A Winter Evening with Book Lovers”

The third session of “A Winter Evening with Book Lovers” has been held with a focus on introducing the Harry Potter story collection. The session examined the life of J.K. Rowling, the creator of the series, and traced the formation of one of the world’s most beloved literary works, a creation that emerged during the most difficult years of the author’s life and later became a refuge of hope and imagination.

The discussion continued with an examination of the defining features of the Harry Potter series, including its creative world-building, precise character development, distinctive atmosphere, and the artistic fusion of fantasy and reality. Participants revisited the story of the boy who lived and his adventures at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, reflecting on the profound influence of the series on different generations. They noted that the narrative addresses themes such as friendship, family, suffering, loss, and hope in parallel with real life.

The session concluded by emphasising the enduring role of Harry Potter in recalling hope during difficult moments of life and its lasting position in both young adult and adult literature.
