Message of congratulations from IASBS President, Prof Sadollah Nasiri Gheydari, on Teacher’s Day

In the name of God, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

The month of Ordibehesht (May) is the time when thoughts blossom in the garden of knowledge and wisdom, nurtured by the capable hands of teachers and esteemed university lecturers. The 2nd of May, marking the anniversary of the martyrdom of Ostaad Morteza Motahhari and the commemoration of Teacher’s Day, has served as an occasion to honour those who have been the ladders of humanity’s ascent to the peaks of truth.

I believe that teaching is not merely a profession but an art that breathes the spirit of inquiry into the soul of society. In today’s world, where the boundaries of knowledge have been constantly expanding, a university lecturer is not only a transmitter of information but also an architect of character and a guide illuminating the insight of the younger generation. You, esteemed lecturer, with patience and devotion, have been the guiding lights that, in the darkness of ignorance, have shown the bright path of tomorrow to the seekers of knowledge.

Teacher’s Day is a celebration of the lofty devotion of those who have placed their youth and strength upon the altar of sincerity, enabling proud Iran to stand firmly on the lofty podiums of progress and power. The splendour of every society is the fruit of the seed sown by the teacher in thirsty minds, and our future is indebted to your hopeful, tireless smiles.

With gratitude for the scholarly efforts of the wise lecturers and my esteemed colleagues, I sincerely extend my congratulations on this blessed day and pray to Almighty God to grant every one of you, who serve steadfastly on the frontline of knowledge, health and ever‑increasing success.
