Torkaman Library was established in 1993. It contains a useful combination of specialized and general books, bilingual dictionaries, and specialized and general encyclopedias.
The Education Office comes under the Education and Research Department. Its main job is to manage the educational affairs of the students from registration to graduation.

Researchers from the Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences (IASBS) have secured the first-place ranking in the oral presentation section of the 32nd National Conference on Optics and Photonics and the 18th National Conference on Photonics Engineering and Technology. The closing ceremony was held on Thursday, 2 July 2026, hosted by Vali-e-Asr University of Rafsanjan.
According to the conference secretariat, the paper presented by Mohammad Reza Ataei, Sina Zeinali, and Dr Jafar Mostafavi-Amjad from the IASBS received the highest score, earning the title of best paper and the first-place ranking in the oral presentation category.
This success, achieved at one of the country’s most prestigious scientific events in the field of optics and photonics, demonstrates the academic capability of the university’s researchers and the significant standing of the Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences in advanced research in this field.
The 32nd National Conference on Optics and Photonics and the 18th National Conference on Photonics Engineering and Technology were attended by a gathering of faculty, researchers, students, and specialists in the field. During the event, 84 papers were presented orally and 147 papers were displayed as posters. At the conclusion of the event, winners in various sections were announced and the top researchers were honoured.
