Torkaman Library was established in 1993. It contains a useful combination of specialized and general books, bilingual dictionaries, and specialized and general encyclopedias.
The Education Office comes under the Education and Research Department. Its main job is to manage the educational affairs of the students from registration to graduation.

Dr Farhad Sobouti has been appointed as the Head of the Centre for Specialised Trainings at the Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences (IASBS) by a decree issued by the IASBS President, Prof Sadollah Nasiri Gheydari. The appointment took effect on 1 September 2026.
During a meeting with Dr Farhad Sobouti, held in the presidential office, the IASBS President emphasised the necessity of developing and strengthening the specialised training programmes of the university.
The IASBS President highlighted the most important areas of activity for the Centre as identifying specialised training needs, designing and developing modern and skills-based courses, providing the groundwork for professional and demand-driven training, and expanding relations with executive bodies, industries, and specialised groups.
He also emphasised the need to utilise the scientific capacity of the university and the effective presence of faculty members and specialists in order to enhance human capital and respond to the scientific and specialised needs of society.
Dr Farhad Sobouti has been appointed as the Head of the Centre for Specialised Trainings for a two-year term, based on his commitment, expertise, competence, and valuable experience. This appointment took effect on 1 September 2026.
The decree also emphasises the need to create a dynamic and coherent structure for the Centre and the realisation of the goals and approaches of the Islamic University document.
The IASBS President concluded by wishing Dr Farhad Sobouti success in his new responsibilities.
