Raya Health: A system for automating and monitoring education in cancer prognosis

Raya Health is a software system designed and developed in collaboration with the IASBS Bioinformatics Lab (under the supervision of Dr Zahra Narimani and Dr Mehdi Vasighi) and the ABC Cancer Research team at Zanjan University of Medical Sciences, with support from the Mehraneh Charity Organisation.

The Raya Health application has been developed in order to improve early cancer diagnosis by educating people about the risk factors involved. A specific section in Raya Health is devoted to breast cancer in women and is designed to provide information about the process of self-examination. With this system, it is possible to follow high risk users and send them notifications about free lab tests available for early detection.

An agreement has been signed with the Mehraneh Charity Organisation to use Raya Health in their cancer eduction workshops. Raya Health was introduced to the public on 16 October 2019 in a seminar on breast cancer prognosis at Mehraneh. The goal of the seminar was to remind the public, especially the women, about October, the global month for breast cancer awareness.
