The Computer Center is on the second floor of the Physics Department (next to the Physics computer site). This Center provides the following services to the members of the university.
Torkaman Library was established in 1993. It contains a useful combination of specialized and general books, bilingual dictionaries, and specialized and general encyclopedias.
The Education Office comes under the Education and Research Department. Its main job is to manage the educational affairs of the students from registration to graduation.

Dr Bahram Sadeghi Bigham who is an Associate Professor at the Computer Science & Information Technology Department has just published two books.
The book entitled “Alan Turing, the Father of Artificial Intelligence and Present Day Computers” has been published by the Gothenburg Press in Tehran and his second book entitled “Mobile Autonomous Robots: Concepts and Algorithms” has been published by Sharif University of Technology’s Scientific Publications Institute.
“Mobile Autonomous Robots” is the result of six years of teaching and writing in robotics science and has been recognised as one of the main references in the compulsory MSc courses in Computer Engineering for those specialising in “Artificial Intelligence and Robotics”. It can also be used as a good reference for the compulsory and elective courses at various levels in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, etc., and after Advanced Algorithms, Computational Geometry, and topics in Graph Theory. The book contains 246 pages and has been printed on B5 size paper.
Dr Sadeghi’s other book “Alan Turing, the Father of Artificial Intelligence and Present Day Computers”, which was published a week before the previous book, is Alan Mathison Turing’s biography from birth to his death (1912 - 1954) plus information gathered from his writings and from interviews with those close to him (memoirs of Turing’s fiancée, niece, and colleagues).
The book also contains valuable views of one of the world’s most notable logicians, the 93-year-old New York University Professor Emeritus, Martin Davis, whose PhD supervisor, Prof Alonzo Church, was Alan Turing’s former PhD supervisor 12 years on. Prof Davis was a recent virtual speaker at the IASBS.
Dr Sadeghi has in this book depicted the fundamental concepts of present day computers such as artificial intelligence, algorithm design, and the way computers work, as the great achievements of Alan Turing, in 196 pages printed on A5 size paper.
