When we think of a clean Earth, the image of clear and pure water, a blue and untainted sky, and green and fertile soil immediately forms in our minds. It is a beautiful image, but not a lasting one. The reason for the impermanence of this image is, without doubt, not the Earth. The Earth, this blue planet, has always opened its generous hands to all and has caused the rain of divine mercy to descend, in justice, upon the heads of the great and the small, the old and the young, the rich and the poor, so that the servants of God may learn to share goodness among themselves.
