Enthusiastic turnout of Zanjan academics condemns Zionist aggression and backs armed forces in defending the country

Zanjan academics have joined aware and loyal groups across the province in condemning the aggressive attack by the Zionist regime and the United States on Iran. On Saturday evening, 28 March 2026, they took to the streets and main squares of the city, commemorated the martyred Leader, and pledged allegiance to Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei. A farewell ceremony for the bodies of five martyrs of the American‑Zionist aggression was also held on the sidelines of the gathering.

IASBS holds sapling planting ceremony in memory of country's student martyrs

A spiritual tree-planting ceremony has been held in memory of 168 student martyrs from Minaab and university students across the country, including the late student martyr Seyed Jaaber Ghaffari. The event took place on 16 March 2026, with the participation of the Governor of Zanjan, university presidents from the province, academic staff, and a group of students in front of the Department of Earth Sciences at the Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences (IASBS).

IASBS statement in condemnation of American-Zionist attacks on Iran

In the name of God, the Beneficent, the Compassionate وَلَا تَحْسَبَنَّ اللَّهَ غَافِلًا عَمَّا یَعْمَلُ الظَّالِمُونَ In continuation of the chain of cowardly and inhuman acts of the zionist regime against the clean soil of the Islamic republic of Iran , once again the real and inhuman face of the enemies of the nation was revealed by shedding blood on the children of this land. The brutal attack on centres of peace and safe places of knowledge and science, with the clear support of the US Administration, has left no heart bleeding in Iran for the calamity at the Girls’ School in the city of Minaab and murder of dozens of innocent girls. This was not military action but a terrible crime, and an eternal shame on the brows of the false claimants of human rights, and evidence of the frustration of a terrible regime that is frustrated with our scientific authority and deterrence power, and taking revenge on innocent children and bastions of knowledge.
